It happened at a unit on the 2000 block of Crest Drive at the Hillside Apartments early on Sunday, March 19, township police said in a statement.
The victim, a 43-year-old man, was out on his back porch when he was approached by two men at about 10:15 a.m., authorities said. The gunmen opened fire, striking the victim multiple times before fleeing the area, according to police.
The 43-year-old was treated at Paoli Hospital for wounds that were not life-threatening, and later released, authorities said.
The two suspects are described by police as black men in their late teens or early 20s, and investigators say they were wearing black hoodies and face masks at the time of the attack. Authorities say a third suspect "may also have been involved," but said they are unsure if the suspects used a getaway car.
Caln police and Chester County detectives continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to submit a tip by calling 610-383-1821 or 610-383-7000.
